Step 1

Bring a small pot of water to the bowl. Also, have a small bowl of cold water, this needs to be deep enough to dip the mouth guard into it.

Boil water for 30 seconds, remove from heat, and place the mouth guard in for 10-15 seconds until soft.

Remove with tongs. Dip the mouth guard into cold water for 1 second.

Step 4

Immediately place the mouth guard around the upper teeth. The mouth guard will be warm but will not burn. Instantly secure guard by pressing your tongue against the back of your upper teeth. Remove the mouth guard and place it in cold water. If you don’t get a tight fit. Repeat steps 1-4.

Step 5

Press the back of the mouthguard with thumbs against your teeth. Leave in your mouth for 30 seconds. Bite gently and suck all air and water until a tight fit form around upper teeth. For smaller mouths, the mouthguard can be shorted by cutting around the ends.
